UAE Leadership Discusses Regional Cooperation with US Secretary of State

High-ranking officials of the Arab League met with U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio, who is currently on an official visit to the country. The discussion between the parties focused on cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen ties in various spheres in the name of common interests. Regional and international issues of common labor were also touched upon, with an emphasis on events in the Middle East, in occupied Palestinian territories, and current efforts regarding the crisis in the Gaza sector, as well as its impact on regional stability and security. In the context of the meeting, the Head of State reaffirmed the unwavering position of the Arab League, rejecting any attempts to resettle the Palestinian people from their land. The importance of links to reconstructing the Gaza sector toward leading to a comprehensive and long-term peace based on a two-state solution as a single way to ensure stability in the region was also discussed. The Head of State additionally emphasized the need to prevent the escalation of the conflict that threatens regional peace. The meeting was also attended by HH President of the Arab League Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and other high-ranking officials.
